Your presence our lovely daughter,

Has filled our lives with love and laughter.

That tiny little girl who is our pet,
Has blossomed into the most amazing person one has ever met.

Sweet, charming, caring, niece,
Live your life and every moment of it you seize.

Soar with success high,
Sky is the limit, up and up you fly.

As you step into your teen,
Life has just begun and loads to be seen..

There nothing that you cannot achieve,
Most important thing to remember is, in yourself, You Believe..

My First 100km Ride

  After my first long ride till my Mom's house and back, I have been cycling regularly. I got a bit more  ambitious and now I was aiming for a century ride.  Dileep suggested it's better that I ride in and around first to build up the stamina and get used to cycling. So I started riding daily around 5km each day and slowly increasing the distance and duration, once I got into the flow.  One beautiful thing happened. On 1st September, as I was riding I just went with the flow and rode around 11kms that  day.... That night I came across the BIKE30 challenge. We had to ride 10km each day for 30 days in September month. It was like it was meant to be, since unknowingly I had done more than 10km that day. My First Long Cycle Ride

Dileep rides for " Bangalore Randonneurs "  https://www.audaxindia.org/bangalore-randonneurs-bangalore-c-9 and " GoGreenGoCycling "  http://www.gogreengocycling.org/ and few solo rides with his friends.  He is a great inspiration to me and our kid. I wanted to go cycling with him for a very long time.  With the lock down slightly relaxed and cyclists allowed on the roads with all the precautions, we planned a short family ride of 15kms, considering our lil one's capacity to ride. It was super fun.     And ever since I had been craving for more. That's the thing about any physical activity, walking, running, yoga cycling, gymming, you name it, once you get the taste of it, and you end up craving for more.  Anyway, I asked my husband if we could ride till my mom's place and he agreed. Aging Gracefully

​ As young people, we are full of energy, enthusiasm, super busy with our work, family and other activities.  But we are ​​ n't going to be young for ever. While we are investing for our old age, saving up a lump sum to give us a comfortable life, many of us forget to invest in one more and most important thing. A hobby, something we are passionate about. Something which will keep us busy the whole day, while our children are away for studies/ work or blissfully enjoying the company of their friends, spouse and their children.  We need to accept that even though our children love us, will always do, it's difficult for them to spend time with their old parents with so many things demanding their attention.  While we enjoy seeing them all grown up and responsible, we should make sure we let them do that without feeling guilty of not being able to spend time with us..  We should learn to age gracefully.
