Metamorphize Monday
Come weekend, loads of images, forwards are splashed everywhere on social media describing how the weekends just melt away and boom! Come Monday, people are exhausted, tired, they just somehow drag themselves to work, school, college or to a place where you are supposed to be.
It fills me with surprise. What kind of attitude is this?
Some odd person who is really unmotivated in life, doesn't want to achieve something, puts this kind of vibe out to the world and everyone starts feeling the same way. And on top of that poor "Monday", the most fantastic day of the week, gets undermined and gets the least respect.
Friday on the other hand is welcomed with open arms as if the very survival of dear life depends on this very day and rest of the days are just dragged upon.
Such is the state of affairs and the attitude that people, not only carry but pass on to others and their children as well!! We all know that children act and behave the way adults do. How else children, who are so innocent, start waiting for Friday and dread going to school on Monday.
Monday morning blues indeed!! The week has just begun and instead of starting the week with enthusiasm, instead of feeling blessed that we are getting another opportunity to learn, grow and prove ourselves, people feel low and tired. So much for feeling tired!! Most of them eat out on the weekends, drink and get wasted, what constructive work has one done to feel tired. Disclaimer: Exceptions to the rule.
One feels tired only when the work is not constructive, in fact constructive work gives more energy and happiness.
We work, so that we provide for our family. The attitude with which one works will reflect on your family too. Energy always gets passed on from one thing/person to another. When the person who is cooking is happy and cooks with love and enthusiasm, the positive energy is passed on to the food and then to the one who partakes it. In the same way, whatever you think and do, the same energy will be passed on during your work, studies or whatever thing it might be.
It's high time to change one's attitude and attack the week, especially Monday with a happy, enthused mind and body…..another challenge to complete and prove our mettle. And weekend is not just for lying around all day doing nothing. Weekend is to repair our body and mind by slowing down a bit, relaxing with loved ones, spending quality time with kids, spouse, friends and family, reading, pursuing a new hobby, visiting a place of worship, giving quiet time to oneself and making our life even more better and ready for the challenges and learning for the week to come!!
Each day is a gift given by God!! Let's really "live" each day to the fullest instead of limping on with the week days, waiting for the weekend.
Very true. Each day is a gift given by God. Good one Shalu
